Some days we need to play our battle songs LOUDLY and just worship……

We are in a daily spiritual battle and so much is at stake. As Christian’s we have a common enemy who is out to destroy our faith, hope, and trust in the Lord. He wants us anxious, depressed, defeated, and discouraged. That is not who we are called to be. No, in this matter, we are called to be defiant against the darkness of the world we live in.

Honestly, There are days that I feel like I’m losing the battle. Lately, I’ve probably had more days that felt like defeat than victory. But as I sit and listen to the Lord, I discover that, as usual, I’m the problem. I lose focus. Get too busy. Whatever it is….I fail to practice what I’ve learned from walking through the toughest battles of my life over the past 2.5 years. It’s been during these very hard years that have come the greatest spiritual blessings in my life. They have just come in different packaging than I expected.

I have been utterly dependent on God for strength to do each day and that has been my greatest gift. I’m needy. What I’ve learned from seeking God in my need and listening to Him is that we’ve been given great weapons of warfare… praise, worship, and prayer! Used together. Not separately. So today let’s practice using what we’ve been given. Here’s the lyrics of one of my favorite battle songs. As we head into war let’s Sing and worship…. Sing this from your heart. He sees your heart.
